Sleeping Soldiers XVIIIWhen Amyana logged in to her email account for the first time in what felt like eons of time there was one message there which stood out among all the usual spams and superficial chatter from equally superficial friends. It was from Elion.

The mail was short. Just six words, but words which burned themselves into her retina and not letting go.

Do you know anything about Sanomina?

Iryon had promised his brother the return of Sanomina. A promise he was apparently not going to fulfil, so much did Amyana understand from that short mail. For some reason he wanted to keep the woman in the lighthouse locked up in Elysium a little bit further. For
Sleeping Soldiers XVIIClemens shrugged. No, that strange sound he had heard out in the garden just seconds ago had proved to be nothing. Perhaps just an animal, probably the neighbours cat on a nightly hunt for a partner or a prey.

Yet he had to admit the noise had bothered him. Bothered him enough to turning off the porch light and use night vision to spy into the dark little garden. But the snapped twig and the breathing sound had not been followed by anything more and his vision had only revealed the usual trees whisking in the wind in front of the low wall bordering off his garden to the neighbours'. Sleeping Soldiers XVIAkiko woke up with a spinning head and the distinct feeling that something had gone very wrong. It took a few seconds for her mind to collect itself again. By then she remembered the Greek by the fountain and his words about being able to deliver what she searched. The dark-dressed men and Clemens who had tried to save her from – who? What? Who's side had the dark dressed men been on?

There was something... Had been talks about... The Vatican. She couldn't really grasp the details; it had been kind of confusing.

And the Greek – what was his name again? Anakin? She suppressed a laughter. No, but it was something starting with an A.
Sleeping Soldiers XVElion was taken up the stairs to the first floor and brutally sat down upon a chair, his head spinning and his mouth dry. There was a table in front of him where he rested his tired limbs. He also saw, across the table, Lanineme leaning on her own arms and looking at him vacantly. Behind her were a couple of gods arranged in a semicircle with Olimon in the middle. They were all there to keep Lanineme in check. Behind him Elion recognized Nalizza's energies, while the other three gods belonged to the lower echelons, gods Elion only knew by name. There was no trace of either Iryon or Lokita.

They sat there for about a quarter of an hour. No on
Sleeping Soldiers XIVIt's on TV that night. Hidden within a regular news sending, the secret code of the calling.  One special sentence in the voiceover: "America was built by immigrants." That one combined with the background music: Roxy Music's Avalon and a close-up picture on yellow roses – it's the message they had agreed upon years and years ago.

Zenobi turns off the TV and rise immediately, disappearing into the bedroom and taking out the special backpack she has kept packed for this occasion. The bag she has had hidden in a magic secret room behind the cluttered top shelf of her wardrobe.
